Preparing for

ANSI PR 320-2015

Advanced technology and modern building codes are expanding the opportunities for wood in construction.

Wood products offer advantages in terms of material, construction and environmental costs.

Wood is a renewable and responsible choice that helps reduce our environmental footprint.

Guardian has developed a new variable density process of including hardwood as the finished surface for Cross Laminated Timber panels.

This method has been developed due to collaboration with Architects, Developers, End Users who are seeking a excellent surface that is beyond the mechanical properties of Softwood Lumber.

For example, Oak and Birch are plentiful with superior mechanical properties resulting in a slender designs in comparison to SPF,  with the hardwood surface being very attractive.

This development of variable density processing is being further examined for balconies using eastern hemlock.

Our show room has examples of the Guardian mock up panels.
